Information Sharing and Safeguarding (IS&S) is a fundamental need of the U.S. public safety (PS) community. For the past 15+ years, the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) has served the PS community in a technical leadership capacity across a wide variety of IS&S projects. During this time, we have helped to advance the community’s IS&S capabilities and the Federated Identity, Credential, and Access Management (Federated ICAM) capabilities that underpin and enable IS&S. One of our most important and promising contributions to the PS community during this period has been to design, build, and pilot the trustmark framework, which provides standards, artifacts, software tools, and methodologies that PS agencies can use to implement scalable, agile IS&S trust relationships with their information sharing partners.
The Information and Communications Laboratory is a fundamental and applied research laboratory focused on transdisciplinary research across the entire information science hierarchy.
